October 21,2016

Dear PWS Families,
Thank you so much for coming to participate in our Math/Literacy night and helping make it a great success! It was so wonderful to see the students teaching their parents about what they are learning at school.

A reminder to all parents about morning drop off. If you arrive after 7:50, you must go to the front parking lot, park, and walk your child in. We have had a number of parents recently drop their children off in the crosswalk and have them walk in on their own. This is not only more dangerous, but also interrupts the flow of traffic.

In the afternoon, if you are picking up after hours for one of our many after school activities like homework club or chorus, we ask that you please avoid the area of the parking lot over by the basketball courts. Our New Morning after school program utilizes that area for outdoor play and we want to keep that space as safe for the children as possible. Your cooperation with both of these traffic concerns is greatly appreciated.

Ecosmith Recycle Bins for Destination Imagination
Did you know that every school in the district has an Ecosmith Recycle Bin?  This is a great way to donate/recycle old clothes, while helping raise funds for our teams who advance to Global Finals each year.  You can put any kind of fabrics in these bins, towels and stuffed animals too.  Ripped shirts and pants with holes are fine, as well as well worn shoes.  Bedford DI greatly appreciates your continued participation in this program.

PWS Gear
If anyone is interested in buying new PWS gear such as shirts, sweatshirts, pajama pants, and lunch bags please visit  www.bedfordwear.com.  If you would prefer, we also have paper order forms available in the front office.
