Peter Woodbury School- A Place Where People Care!
October 10, 2019
Dear PWS Families,
It was a short week, but it certainly wasn't short on learning or energy. It is hard to believe we are already at the mid point of October. In just a few weeks, we will be having our Halloween Parade and shortly thereafter Parent Teacher Conferences will be taking place. Please be sure to keep checking this blog for the most up to date information.
Today during lunches we were able to get in and talk with the students about food allergies. Every year we have this conversation about being kind, respectful, and aware of those who may have these food allergies and sensitivities. Here is the video (you will need flash player)that was shown. We encourage you to continue this conversation with your child at home.

Scarecrow Jubilee Volunteers Needed
The Scarecrow Jubilee is scheduled for Thursday, October 17th, from 6-7 PM.  We are in need of a handful of volunteers to help set-up, serve apple crisp & ice cream, and to clean up.  Please consider volunteering through this signup LINK. This is also a great opportunity for BHS students to earn community service hours.
BEDFORD PTG SKI, SKATE, & MORE SALE!
The Bedford PTG is proud to announce our annual SKI, SKATE and MORE SALE. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9AM - 2PM at Bedford High School. Whether you are in the market for ski equipment, snowboards, hockey gear, or winter outerwear, this sale provides a cost-effective opportunity to outfit you and your family for the upcoming winter season!
Consignment links are now open, visit PTG Website  for consignment information. You can drop off your pre-tagged items at the BHS Gymnasium on Friday, November 22, 2019 between 5PM – 8PM.
CARDIGAN CORNER at SKI, SKATE and MORE SALE!
PTG is excited to offer “Cardigan Corner” at the Ski, Skate and More Sale again this year. For families whose kids have conquered Lurgio’s Mt. Cardigan  experience as part of the RAL 8th grade environmental unit of study and have gear to consign, or for those looking for a good deal on quality used items for the upcoming adventure…Cardigan Corner is for you!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
The PTG has been able to supply elementary schools with bus tags for kindergarteners and first graders, fund the Museum of Science pass (available at the Town Library) and make donations to school nurse and guidance departments at all six Bedford schools. These are just some of the great things your support has helped us accomplish so far!
COMMUNITY EVENTS WITH ADMINISTRATION
A special thank you to our Principals, Assistant Principals and Superintendent for taking time out of their schedules to share information on upcoming events and activities for the school year and answering the community’s questions at PTG’s recent Coffee events.
