Hello PWS Families,

We are lucky the weather warmed up this week so students played outside.   Students' cheers are heard all across the building when outdoor recess is announced.  Have you noticed your child being more tired at night from playing in the snow?

The fourth grade chorus presentation was Wednesday night.  It was heart warming to hear the students singing and playing instruments.  It always amazes us what talented students we have.  A special thank you to Mrs. Curran for helping all students to develop a love for music.

We attended the PTG monthly meeting this past week.  This is a chance for all the PTG school liaisons to give updates.  The president and executive board are there as well.  One of the main topics was what PTG does to fund events at our school.  Some events include: Eyes on Owls, Math Superstars, Scholastic Book Fair, Grandparents Day and Monarchs Night. Since the participation rate dropped throughout the district by over 100, a lot of conversation was centered around how to get information out to parents about what PTG does.  Without the PTG support we would not be able to have the aforementioned programs in school.  We encourage those of you who are not yet members to please consider doing so.  Thank you all who do support PTG.

Parent Portal
Have you recently changed your email or cell phone number?  If so, you can easily update your child's school information by going into the "demographics" icon through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.  If you have multiple children, the changes will only apply to the child whose "tab" you have entered the information under.  As always, questions can be directed to the Main Office.

Remember that this Monday is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Enjoy the extra day this weekend and we will see all students, ready to learn, on Tuesday.

Keep Warm,
