Dear PWS Families,

Thank you to everyone that came out in support of the PTG Principals’ Winter Read last night. It was and is always a fun event. We hope to see you all at the Barnes and Noble Days tonight and tomorrow. Mrs. Daley and Mr. Mitchell will be reading tomorrow around 11:00. See you all then.
It has been nice enough weather to get the students outside this week. They certainly all needed the fresh air. It has been fun to see the snow games that they can create. Please remember to send your child to school with snow pants and boots if they want to play in the snow. We will continue to monitor “the snow pile” to ensure its safety.

PWS Happenings
Morning Drop Off
Just a reminder that we encourage students to ride the bus if possible.  Parent drop off in the morning is a busy place in the morning.  Many staff members park back there so it is important to pay extra careful attention in the parking lot so everyone stays safe.  As parents, we certainly understand having time schedules  unfortunately, the last couple of weeks parents have been honking their horns.  Please remember patience and that we are all role models for our children.  Thanks!

Box Tops for Education
We will be collecting all Box Tops and Labels for Education items on Friday, February 12.Please send them into school so that we can include them in spring counts.
A brief note on the Labels for Education program:
·         The 'Labels' are typically UPC symbols, although on some products, are actually the entire product cap. When sending in the UPC, please include the entire UPC Symbol – otherwise we cannot submit the clip.
·         Products with 'Labels' are: BIC, Campbell Soup & Chili, Pace (caps), Pepperidge Farm, Spaghetti'Os, Swanson broths, and V8 drinks (caps) - refer to https://www.labelsforeducation.com/Earn-Points/Participating-Products for more details.
Finally, be sure to visit www.BTFE.com and enter the many available raffles for free Box Tops!

Family Fun Night Help Needed
Donations Needed for Family Fun Night- If you have any unused or unwanted legos, we would love to have them or borrow them for family fun night! Just send them in with your child or send them to Mrs. West's room.
Thank you!

Community Info
Deliberative Session Feb. 2 at 7:00 p.m. BHS Theater
All voters in Bedford are urged to come to the Bedford School District Deliberative Session on Tuesday, February 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bedford High School Theater. This is when the community either affirms or revises the School Board’s proposed budget for 2016-17 (The budget is presented in the School District Warrant.). The proposed budget is $68.3M, a 3.9% increase over this year. The increase is primarily because of personnel, health insurance benefits, and significant building maintenance.  Voting on the warrant is on Tuesday, March 8 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bedford High School Gymnasium. If the proposed budget is voted down, the default budget would be $2.3M lower.  Additional information
