May 11, 2017

Dear PWS Families,

Thank you to everyone who made today’s Grandparents’ Day such a success. We welcomed close to 500 grandparents for food, tours, a fourth grade chorus concert and lively demonstrations. It certainly was an exciting morning. Special thanks goes to our Kitchen staff for preparing a lovely breakfast and to our PTG volunteers, led by Jenny Caouette and Samantha Farrow, for making today run so smoothly.

PWS Happenings
Grade 3 Tinker Day
This afternoon, the third graders got the chance to participate in a Tinker Day. The students decided what their focus would be and then got down to exploring. The students created a motorized creation, played mind challenging games, built structures, created a tower that was close to 7 feet tall, and even made their own fidget spinners. If you have a third grader please be sure to ask how they spent their time.

From Our Nurse Mrs. Ewing
It is that time of year again, where the children are outside enjoying themselves. It is also that time where ticks reappear. It is recommended that all parents do daily tick checks to prevent any of these fun friends from coming into the school.
