PWS PrinciPal’s News
PWS Families,

Well this week certainly didn’t start as we all had planned. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during our weather related curveball. We know that many of you dealt with no power so we are glad that we were able to offer a safe, warm, and normal place for the students to come for a few hours. It is times like these that really put a spotlight on what a special community Bedford is. Special thanks also go out to the Bedford Police Department, Fire Department, Public Works, and local utility companies for their hard work getting things back to normal as quickly as possible.

After a delay, we were able to have our Annual PWS Halloween Parade this afternoon. The costumes were amazing and the energy was infectious. Please enjoy these photos and see if you can spot Waldo.  More pictures can be found on the Peter Woodbury Facebook page or on Instagram by following @peter_woodbury_school

Box Tops For Education Program
PWS participates in the Box Tops For EducationTM program - which means that we get money for our schools by sending in lots of little teeny- tiny rectangles.  Last year, we earned almost $3000, which went directly to the teachers to purchase items for their classrooms.
Over the next few weeks, classroom volunteers will be introducing the program to our new students and reminding returning students that they can help raise money for items in their classroom. We will collect and mail our Box Tops a few times a year.
What you can do to help:
1.       Clip and Bring: Look for pink Box Tops on products, clip them, and send them to school in your student’s Go Binders.  (Be sure to also include any special Box Top Codes or Bonus Box Tops!)
2.       Ask your Neighbors/Family: Send a note out to your neighbors that don't have school-age kids; they may not be aware that they are throwing away money.
3.       Become a BTFE Member: If you become a member on www.BTFE.com, you can enter PWS into ongoing raffles for free Box Tops, and get exclusive great coupons to products.
For more information on the Box Tops for Education program, including a list of participating products and our school’s progress, visit www.BTFE.com.

Crotched Mountain Ski Program
Join old friends and new ones at Crotched Mountain for some after-school skiing this winter! Sign up by November 15 and your student will hit the slopes on five Fridays after the New Year for just $129 – and they’ll also get a Peak Pass on February 20 which will get them out at seven more mountains for no additional cost for the rest of the season! Email Loren Foxx at lofoxx@gmail.com or visit bedfordski.com for more details.
