October 9th, 2020
Dear PWS Families,
A happy Friday to you all! We would like to begin by thanking the PWS community for your continued support throughout the beginning months of this school year. It has truly been wonderful to observe students making growth and achieving goals during the first month and a half of school. Your children have been working very hard both in the classroom and remotely and their effort shows. Festive student art work is beginning to occupy the halls at PWS especially by our kindergarten classrooms! The children have done a nice job making the walls "pop" and come to life. We hope that all families find some time to rest and relax with an extra day over the weekend. Please take a moment to catch up on some of the news and happenings from PWS!

Halloween at PWS:

On both Wednesday, October 28th and Thursday, October 29th PWS will be celebrating Halloween! Grade level teams will be organizing some festive activities for their students to participate in. Students are encouraged to bring their costumes that can fit over their clothing. Your child’s classroom teacher will be sending home more information about these days in the near future.
Destination Imagination:
Registration is now open for Destination Imagination. New and returning students must complete this google form. Registration closes on Friday October 16th, 2020. Destination Imagination is an extracurricular program that requires parent volunteers. There is no guarantee that your child will be placed on a team, but we work very hard to place every child who registers.
NEW INFO K-6 teams may not use school facilities for meetings. Teams who wish to come together outside of the schools must adhere to the same safety precautions as in school, with regards to masks and social distancing. Most teams will meet virtually this year. For more info on this wonderful extracurricular program offered by our district, please check out www.nh-di.org or contact our coordinator, Marie Russell at bedfordrocksdi@gmail.com.
From the Library:
Some students are having a difficult time remembering to return their books on their library day. If this happens, your child will choose new books during their library time. We will hold the books behind the circulation desk in the library. The next time your child comes to school, they can swap their old library books for their new ones. It's important to us that students feel a sense of ownership in their library time and choose books that capture their interests.
Happy reading, Mrs. Baldi
We wish all of you a safe and happy long weekend!
Mrs. Cheryl Daley and Mr. Marc Robitaille
