Hello PWS Families,

Thank you so much for all coming to our Family Fun Night! It was a wonderful night with basket raffles, the book fair, the book walk, pizza, ice cream floats, PWS digital book writing and playing outside.
One of the best parts of the night is calling students to tell them they won a basket!  We want to recognize all the volunteers and PWS staff members that help make this a success!

From Mrs. Piantedosi:
Art Show
The PWS Art Show will be on April 24th, 6:00-8:00.  All students grades 1-4 will have artwork on display.  2D work will be showcased in the hallway and 3D work will be displayed in the gym.
Art club will be face painting and leading an art activity in the gym.  Hope to see you all there!

Scholastic Book Fair
Thank you so much for buying books and posters at this year's book fair. We raised over $14, 700.  This is enough money for Mr. Mitchell to shave off his beard.  The students are really excited about this!
You can still order books on line if you have not already done so.  The web site is http://www.scholastic.com/bookfairs. Select the "Find a Fair" tab at the top and follow the state and town links to Peter Woodbury School. The web fair is open until 4/18.

Special Opportunity
The National 9/11 Flag, one of the largest American flags to fly above the wreckage at Ground Zero, will be on display at Saint Anselm College.  This is the flag's final stop on a national tour, before being installed at the National September 11 Memorial Museum at the World Trade Center site.  The flag that flew over Ground Zero survives as a symbol of the strength and compassion of the American people.
We invite you to experience this historic flag with us.  Public viewing hours at Sullivan Arena are:
Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, April 13, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Monday, April, 14th 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
School/Civic Group tours of 40 people or more are welcome by reservation for Monday, April 14.  For more information on scheduling group tours, contact Lisa Gowern at : lgowern@anselm.edu or 603-222-4270.

PWS Gear
PWS gear is still available on line at www.bedfordwear.com.  There are many items to choose from.  Please browse this sight when it is convenient for you.

Senior Citizens Day!
Our annual Grandparents Day is on Friday, May 9th.  This year registration is beginning at 8:15.  Please tell grandparents not to arrive before this time because they will hit traffic in the front parking lot.  Parents please have your children dropped off on time for school this day.  We appreciate your help with this.
