Hello PWS Families,

We have a lot of information to include in this weeks blog about upcoming events!

From Mrs. Ferenc:

Congratulations to the friends and families of Peter Woodbury School!  You have raised $12,500 in donations to the American Heart Association this year for Jump Rope for Heart.  We will be celebrating in Physical Education class the week of April 14th to the 18th.  The students will be rotating through 40 minutes of fun jumping stations.  Feel free to come to your child's PE class the week of April 14-18  to watch and/or participate in our jumping event.  All of the thank you gifts will be handed out as soon as they arrive in 4-6 weeks.  Thank you so much for all your support!  The money raised will save a lot of hearts!

Next week is our annual BOOK FAIR.  Fourth grade reviewed the books today and the rest of the students will have a preview at the beginning of next week.  The hours of the book fair are:
Monday and Wednesday   8:00-3:30
Tuesday                             8:00-6:00
Thursday (also FFN)         8:00-7:30

Family Fun Night
Family Fun is this Thursday, April 10th.  There are two sessions.  One is at 4:00-5:30 and the other is 6:00-7:30.  Please remember PWS attire is available on the website www.bedfordwear.com.  A part of the proceeds go back to the school!

Used Basketball Sneakers Needed

Help support the used basketball sneakers drive for “Get’em in the Game”, a Bedford High School senior project by Cam Meservey.
Clean out your closets and donate your sneakers. All sizes for boys and girls are needed.  Drop off your sneakers, in the bin at  PWS, from Monday 3/21 to Monday 4/13.
Your support of this project is greatly appreciated. My goal is to collect at least 50 pairs of sneakers that I will clean and refurbish with new laces and distribute to kids in need through the Boys and Girls Club, the YMCA and the Salvation Army.  I have had a basketball in my hand since I was two.  I played in the Bedford Basketball league from second grade through eighth grade.  I played for Lurgio in seventh and eighth grade and was on the varsity team at BHS from my freshman to senior year.  I am very lucky that I will be playing basketball in college next year. Basketball has been such a great part of my life and I have been coached and mentored by many wonderful men.  I want to help provide sneakers to the kids that need them so they can be part of a team and play the game they love because it can make a difference in their life.
Thanks again for your support.
