Hello,

What an exciting week at school.  One day we are wearing shorts, the next snow gear.  Most students are able to adapt easily to this.  After all we live in the state of New Hampshire!

Family Fun Night
Once again, thank you for making Family Fun Night so successful!  We are interested in getting some feedback from you about the night.  Please click here to participate in our quick survey.  All information obtained will be used to assist in future planning.

Also, Mrs. Cassamassino has put together Peter Woodbury's first digital book.  All pages were created at Family Fun Night by current and past students.  You can download the eBook version or the PDF version here.

Last Call for Star Program
Looking for a way to keep the kids busy over April break?  Have your students expressed interest in getting involved in theater?  Registration is still open for former PWS student Emma Benson's senior project, the STAR Program! (Spring Theater Arts Repertoire).  This is a unique opportunity for students from 3rd-8th grade to take master classes in all things theater related, from improv comedy to onstage fighting, audition technique to circus arts.  Students will also be able to participate in a showcase in order to raise money for a Wall of Fame in the Bedford High School theater.  More information can be found on https://sites.google.com/a/bedfordnhk12.net/the-star-program/

Moms Do Not Read
Dads this is a great idea for Mother's Day!
PWS is partnering with The Canvas Roadshow for a fun fundraiser this spring.  Social painting is fun and you are able to rediscover your inner artist in a safe place with simple, step by step instructions.

Support PWS and a great local business in a couple of ways.  One way is by painting at The Canvas Roadshow studio, owned by a PWS mom, on May 8th and $20 per painter will be donated to PWS.  The studio is right around the corner from Peter Woodbury on South River Road. The May 8th painting will be The Big Sunflower, a variation on a Van Gogh painting.  You can see the painting and enroll online through their calendar.

Another option is order a Gift Certificate for $45 (to be used on any day), $20 goes to PWS.  Great Mothers' Day or teacher gift idea!  To order, call Debbie at 943.2103 and she will help you.

Please read the flyer below about Kids's Try-athlon!

PTG Meeting
You are all invited to a PTG meeting on 5/13 at 9:30-10:30 at the Town Library.  This is to give input on the future leadership of PTG!

Lost and Found
Parents, the lost and found is overflowing.  Please come by and look at all the items that are laid out on tables to collect lost items.  Any items left after April 25th will be donated.   Thanks so much!

Scholastic Book Fair
PWS raised a total of $14.965.00 from the Scholastic Book Fair!  In addition, 189 books were purchased from teachers' baskets. You can still order books on-line if you have not already done so.  The web site is http://www.scholastic.com/bookfairs. Select the "Find a Fair" tab at the top and follow the state and town links to Peter Woodbury School. The last day of the web fair is tomorrow! Thank you all for your generosity.

From Mrs. Piantedosi about the Art Show:
The PWS Art Show will be on April 24th, 6:00pm-8:00pm.  All students, grades 1-4, will have artwork on display.  2D work will be showcased in the hallway and 3D work will be displayed in the gym.  Art club will be face painting and leading an art activity in the gym.  Hope to see you all there!

Garden Club
What a wonderful beginning to Garden Club.  Session I quickly filled and wait-listed children were placed on the participant list for Session 2.  If your child (grades 1-4) is interested in participating in Session 2 of Garden Club, please click HERE .  Registration is first come-first served and will close on 4/24 or when full.  Confirmation papers will be sent home next week.

We thank you so much for your interest and support of our Daly Community Garden.  Watch for information on our school yard work day to be held the morning of May 17 from 9am-noon and for information on the Weed and Water Club.

Have a great weekend,
