September 2, 2016

Dear PWS Families,
It was a very exciting, fun filled week.  Teachers and students are getting to know each other and build their classroom communities. Morning meeting is an important, classroom event that happens every day. Students take time to greet each other and the teacher shares a morning message about the activities of the day!

PWS Happenings
Youngest or Only
This year we are going to continue with our youngest or only practice when sending home paper notices.  Therefore, when notices related to school or community events are sent home, we will send one copy per family to the youngest or only child.  We are going to save some trees!

Garden Club
This fall, PWS will have an after school Garden Club open to grades two through four. They will meet for six weeks, on Thursdays, starting on September 8 from 2:30 to 4:00.  Registration is first come first served and will close Wednesday, September 7.  Please click on this link to fill out the registration form.

Volunteer Forms
If you are new to PWS we welcome you to become a part of our PWS community by volunteering. If you are a returning parent we hope you continue to be a part of our community.  Volunteer forms have already come home with your child.  We realize that many parents work so there are a variety of volunteer opportunities.  Please join us on Friday, September 9 at 9:00am for a volunteer orientation breakfast.

Parent Drop Off
For student safety, please have your child exit from the passenger side of the car during morning drop.
