November 18, 2016

Dear PWS Families,

This year our Family Fun Night will be Wednesday, Feb. 15 with two session times, 4:00 to 5:30 and 6:00-7:30.  The snow date is on Thursday, Feb. 16th.  Please mark your calendars. If you are new to PWS this is our annual fundraiser where we have creative activities, food, a 50/50 raffle and theme classroom based baskets.

This week we had a very special treat: Two of our students got to ride to school on a Bedford Fire Truck. Here is a picture of the two classes welcoming the students from their amazing ride to school:

Box Tops For Education Program Update
Thank you for helping us raise an additional $1,208.90 in BoxTops dollars last month!  After we add this to our May 2016 collection and online bonus dollars, we will be receiving a check from the BoxTops Program for approximately $2,180 (which is $500 more than our November 2015 check).   Be sure to stop by the Bulletin Board near the front office to check out the total counts per Teacher and Grade.
If you are out visiting relatives over the holiday season, please encourage your students to ask friends and family to help support our BoxTops collections.  Our next collection date will be Friday, December 16.

Ecosmith Recycle Bins for Destination Imagination
Did you know that every school in the district has an Ecosmith Recycle Bin?  This is a great way to donate/recycle old clothes, while helping raise funds for our teams who advance to Global Finals each year.  You can put any kind of fabrics in these bins, towels and stuffed animals too.  Ripped shirts and pants with holes are fine, as well as well worn shoes.  Bedford DI greatly appreciates your continued participation in this program.
