Dear PWS Families,
This week was Teacher Appreciation Week and the PTG and families certainly made sure to make us feel appreciated. From tropical teas to a Mexican lunch buffet, bagels, treats, and coffee cart, we were spoiled. Thank you to everyone who took some time to make us feel so special.
Last Sunday a number of staff and families came out to our Schoolyard Spruce Up Day. Although the day was a little cloudy, the work and and enjoyment was brightening. The sandbox was raked, yard was cleaned, new mulch and loam were laid, and beautiful new planting boxes were made. The many hands made this work all the easier and enjoyable. We are looking forward to celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the School Yard with you all on May 29th from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Please be sure to join us for some ice cream as we recognize the past, present, and future of the PWS Schoolyard (more information below).

Have a Great Weekend,
Cheryl Daley, Principal
Dan Mitchell, Assistant Principal

The lunch program is excited to announce that our new compostable/biodegradable lunch trays have finally arrived! After many months awaiting these environmentally safe, PFOA free lunch trays the Food Service Department, along with the help of the Destination Imagination Team and The Department of Environmental Services, will be swapping out our old styrofoam trays for our new ones. Earth Maize is the manufacturer of these top of line trays. They will be used in the lunch service starting next week!
