Peter Woodbury School-A Place Where People Care!

September 24th, 2020

Dear PWS Families,

We had another awesome full week at PWS as the students and teachers are beginning to dive in and make headway into the curriculum. We can tell that everyone is starting to feel more comfortable and back in the groove in this unique year. It has been exciting to see students learning outside and while they may need to battle some bugs or a slight breeze the outdoor space has proven to be an enjoyable setting to learn. Teachers have been creative in getting their students outside to get masks breaks and try out new lesson ideas! Physical Education has been exciting for the students as they have learned how to play socially distanced broom-ball! The students handled picture day like pros and looked sharp in the process! Please take a moment to read up on all that is going on at Peter Woodbury School! We wish you all a safe and happy weekend!

Open House:

Thank you for helping make Open House a success! We were delighted to virtually host families so that they could learn more about the school and how PWS is navigating this unique start to the year.

School Lunches:

The following is a reminder: It is extremely important that parents who wish to order hot lunch make their selection on PowerSchool prior to the start of the school day. The PWS cafeteria staff will be delivering lunch to the students to avoid lines and possible congestion!

Remote Learning:

It was so great to see so many of you at Open House last night.  Starting next week the Principal’s will have Office Hours every Wednesday at 1:00pm to check in with students.  The remote teachers will have the link in their google classroom or See Saw.  We hope to see the students on Wednesdays!

SUPPORT OUR SCHOOLS: As the district embarks on a very unique school year, the PTG is dedicated to embracing its challenges while continuing to cherish and celebrate past traditions. Due to the uncertainty of this year, the PTG will not be able to host all of its usual events, programs and fundraisers. Although some things may look different this year, the PTG is committed to working directly with the schools to focus on classroom, staff, student and school needs.

This year more than ever the PTG will rely on the generosity of our community. To support the PTG you can donate through PayPal by clicking HERE or by check made out to Bedford PTG (turn into your child’s school or mail to PO Box 10077 Bedford, NH). Through our Support Drive, 100% of your donation goes directly to the schools and students of Bedford.

LOOKING TO VOLUNTEER: The schools and the PTG appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to focus on the safety of staff and students while minimizing volunteers in the buildings at this time. We will communicate volunteer needs as the PTG is made aware of them. Please complete a Volunteer Google Form for each school you have a child attending. To access the form click here (PWS Volunteer Form) or you can find them on the PTG website www.bedfordptg.org under PTG Forms. You need to fill this form out in order to hear about volunteer opportunities at the schools or district wide.
